Booking Information

Book Your Holiday
booking procedure.

Please fill in our online booking form or call us on 01242 254353 if calling from the UK or 44 1242 254353 from outside the UK with your initial enquiries. We will send you a detailed booking form by email.

You may simply purchase one of the packages as listed in the walks section, or one tailored to your requirements. We will check availability according to the date requested. We will then require a deposit to confirm the booking.

Full payment will be required no later than 6 weeks before departure. All accommodation details and maps etc. will be forwarded upon final payment.

Accommodation

For our packages listed under 'Walks' we use small hotels and guest houses throughout. All rooms will have private bathrooms. The average standard would approximate to 1 and 2*. Dinner is generally included in the price and where it is not (usually because there is a wide variety of options in the town in question), this is mentioned in the text. The Via Francigena may occasionally make use of a hostel but private facilities will be used where possible. Upgrades may be requested in certain places - please ask.

In Spain, it is possible to book a 'Parador', which is comfortable - sometimes luxurious - accommodation located in somewhere special that is filled with history - from old manor-houses to former monasteries and medieval castles, all converted into comfortable hotels. There are some 90 of these hotels across Spain, including several along, or close to, the Camino Frances on the Way of St. James of Compostela. For those who want extra comfort in unforgettable surroundings, please contact us.

Luggage Transfer

The most comfortable way of walking our routes is using our baggage service, which permits you to walk with just a small backpack, whilst your bag or suitcase is transported for you to the next hotel. This service forms part of our packages. This way you can be sure of a change of clothes at the end of the day (especially in poor weather), whilst of course this service is a great help to those who suffer from back pain. We are one of the only companies - perhaps the only one - to offer a luggage transportation service along the whole route from Le Puy en Velay to Santiago de Compostela and along the Italian part of the Via Francigena.

Support and Emergency back-up

We work with local people in the countries in question. Once you are en route on a self-guided holiday, they will be your contacts. In the event of an emergency, or a significant problem that cannot be resolved on the spot, they will be the people to turn to.
